Jeremy and Juliet had decided to stay in New York after Thanksgiving, when news from Fandom had started sounding like trouble might have been brewing, and they had wanted no real part of it. While Jeremy might've sort of been missing someone, it hadn't been that hard a decision to wait things out. This was home, and the party scene had welcomed them back with open arms.

Besides, Jeremy would have been lying if he'd claimed he hadn't missed his own bedroom. It was the size of a common room back at the dorms, and it had most of his stuff in it, too. What was there not to like? So far this morning, he'd only climbed out of bed for long enough to open the door and let Midas in the room. Now, the dog was lounging next to him on the bed, his head resting against Jeremy's leg.

Jeremy felt so at home, so at ease. Maybe he could even get one of the maids to bring him breakfast.

"Sofia!" he called out. No answer. He tried again. "Sofia? Come on, Sofia!"

After a few more times, he was frowning, though mildly. Maybe the maid just didn't hear him.

"Maybe she's mad," Juliet suggested. "I hope she's not mad. We could give her flowers or something."

She glanced over. "Get mine too?"

"Multigrain toast and a protein smoothie?" Juliet asked hopefully, then deflated. "... or just juice, if nobody's around to find the blender."

Not having servants, it was painful.

"Thanks," Juliet said, already going into her pocket for her phone to check the gossip sites. Not that she cared much, but it was a little weird how they'd all forgotten about the Kardashians all of a sudden.

"Like, Alzheimer's?" Juliet asked, reaching her fingers out for a bit of toast. "I guess. She's been kind of weird since we got here. Maybe there's something going on with the company."

Juliet gasped. "Do you think she got fired?"

"I figure Ellen must have," Juliet shared. "Patrick was alone at dinner and nobody said her name, remember? It's like we're shunning people now."

How Amish.

"I don't," Juliet -- who had been reading a self-help book --volunteered. "We should talk freely about what's bothering us. It's supposed to be therapeutic."

Not that she was rushing downstairs to confront Letitia. She was gearing up.
